Mariza Mendoza

Mariza Mendoza is an Emmy nominated reporter who has also received awards from the Society of Professional Journalists.

She says she's always wanted to be a reporter. When she was a little girl, she used to watch the news and dream about being a voice for those who could not speak for themselves. Mariza says she feels very privileged to be able to tell stories and to keep viewers informed about what is happening in their community.

As a graduate of DePaul University with a degree in Communication, Mariza is a mother to two young daughters and is married. She is a Filipino American who is involved with her Catholic faith community and her daughters school Mount Sacred Heart Catholic School. Mariza joins WOAI after working at KSAT and previously KPRC in Houston.
