MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — With the eye of Hurricane Florence making landfall Friday morning and rain continuing to fall, flooding is becoming a great concern.
A Flash Flood Warning is now in effect for many areas of North and South Carolina.
Rain fall totals can be found by going to NOAA and interacting with its precipitation map.
Information on the flood stages of the rivers can be found here through this interactive map.
Hurricane Florence has the potential to cause extreme storm surge as well as flash flooding that will impact area rivers over the coming days. This is concerning because many are still working to get back to normal from Hurricane Matthew in 2016.
Updates will continue to be posted as information is received.
